About
Me
Who Am I?
I am Agatha, a yoga teacher with almost 500 hours of teacher training and over 1,150 hours of yoga therapy training. After my initial teacher training some years ago I got so inspired by YIN yoga that I went on to do several more courses in yin to further deepen my knowledge. I have been doing it since, to this day.
In March 2022 I finished my 2.5-year post-graduate yoga therapy training, which is giving me an even deeper understanding of the human anatomy and the philosophy and workings of yoga. As a certified yoga therapist I can now help people with all sorts of issues on an individual basis.
Most recently I qualified as a menopause yoga teacher, and I am proud and delighted to help women at this crucial time in their lives.
By now I've taught groups, individuals, and in schools; face-to-face in England, France, and Switzerland, and internationally online.
I am looking forward to sharing this wonderful practice with you!

Namaste!

My Story
My own path towards yoga began several years ago, on the day when the car my friend was driving overturned at speed and left me crumpled on the verge with a broken back. I had one vertebrae completely shattered and out of place, decreasing the diameter of the spinal cord to one third. According to modern medical opinion, this was enough to leave me paralysed from the waist down.
I was not. I was airlifted to the capital and spent a whole month on a hospital bed. After two operations and 6 months of wearing a cast, more than a year later I was medically ‘cured’. From this point, I was able to lead a ‘normal’ life - but this life has been different since then. The shock of how close I was to being confined to a wheelchair, led me to properly and honestly appreciate life - including something as simple as being able to walk - rather than just taking it for granted. I felt I had been given another chance.
Achieving full, and lasting, recovery gave me the empowering realisation of how much own actions and mindset contribute to our healing. I started a journey of self awareness and learnt about, and tried, different alternative ways of healing, and became a vegetarian. I discovered yoga 15 years ago and have been practicing it ever since. It became a passion, a way of life. I only wish it had happened earlier! Now I feel that I am in control of my life, not the other way around. I have been happily married, given birth to two children, and have kept my whole family healthy for almost two decades.
I always wanted to help people heal, but becoming a western doctor was not my path. I studied at university to gain a degree as a teacher, but the classroom setting didn’t always feel right. Through yoga therapy and yin yoga, I am blessed to be finally doing both, from, and with, my heart.
